The Power Switch Master is a power distribution and control unit that enables remote power management of 4 devices over an Intranet, the Internet or locally through an Rs-232 serial connection. It also allows the user to trigger a soft shutdown of a server and offers environmental control functions and IP devices monitoring. The Power Switch Master supports HTTP, DHCP, Syslog and SNTP protocols.
Flexible and expandable system
The connectors on the front panel enable you to connect up to 8 peripherals to increase the number of controlled power outlets and/or to set up remote monitoring .of your facilities.
On, off and restart functions
Each power outlet or power outlets group can be individually controlled through an Ethernet. The serial interface also enables the power outlets management over a terminal connection and to trigger a soft shutdown of a server with shutdown capabilities.
Programmable restart delay
A restart delay (5-60 seconds) can be set individually for each power outlet.
Sequential power up/down
Avoids the risk for a power in-rush to blow a fuse or circuit breaker in the data centre.
Concurrent access/IP security
Access to the Power Switch is protected by name and password. The administrator account allows complete configuration and control of all power outlets over a web browser. The administrator can create up to 40 concurrent user accounts with restricted rights.
Easy and fast configuration
Full configuration can be performed through the Web using a web browser. The network configuration can be done through the provided Windows tool over the LAN or through a terminal connection.
Programmble labels
To avoid confusion during operation, you can attribute a 32-character label to each device, power outlet, group of outlet, group of outlets, user account, rule, peripheral.
Programmable rules
The Power Switch Master can automatically carry out up to 32 rules to trigger scheduled tasks or to take predetermined actions (switching off a power outlet, sending alert messages) in response to a specific event (exceeded temperature threshold, opened contact door etc...).
IP devices monitoring
A watchdog function lets you monitor 4 IP devices (servers, routers, cameras etc...), and in case of lock-ups of these monitored devices, they can be automatically rebooted.
Environmental monitoring
Many sensors (temperature, humidity, ambient light etc...) and detectors (smoke, liquid...) can be used to secure your facilities and automatically trigger emergency actions.
Developer facility
Developers can use the specific page functionality (with or without identification) for an easy implementation of the power outlet control through the network in their own program.
