While elsewhere 2,3 Mbps are standard and 5,7 Mbps are top of technology, the Etherlink IV DSL Modems get you up to 15 Mbps per copper pair using G.SHDSL technology. In addition, you can realize distances where other technologies already fail. Etherlink IV can do 15 Mbps per copper pair at distances of up to 2500 meters. By using 2 copper pairs (4 wires) you can connect 30 Mbps over 2500 metres, over 8 wires even 60 Mbps can be connected.

Just a few years ago there have been people doubting that more than 100 Megabit would be possible with copper cables at distances of 100 meters. Using fibre optic Multimode cabling, distances of 2000 meters are possible according to the standard. Now EtherLink IV DSL technology is ready to compete with fibre optics.
