AlertWerks Digital I/O Sensors

With the Digital I/O sensors, you can have 8 dry contacts on one a single port of the Alert Werks II ServSensor Hubs. The main housing can be mounted on a wall with a standard CAT5 cable connection to your sensor hub. Connect up to eight Digital I/O Sensors per each ServSensor Hub for a total of 64 dry contacts.

There are two versions available: Both models supply a single RJ45 connector at one end, for the hub connection. On the other end the first models supplies 8x 2 pin dry contact connectors while the second model features two RJ45 connectors, each compatible with up to 4 AlertWerks II dry contacts sensors (EME1DC or EME1K1).

The dry contacts can be configured as inputs or outputs. Each of the 8 dry contacts can also be configured as outputs up to 20mA. The Intelligent Digital I/O Sensor is user definable and can be used to detect many different inputs such as UPS status, security systems, alarm panels or air conditioning status.

Typical applications:
- SNMP interface for alarm/normal status.
- SNMP traps sent when critical.
- SNMP polling via get command.
- When an alarm condition is activated the description and location of the fault can be sent via email, SMS, MMS, Skype, phone calls and other advanced notifications from the ServSensor Hub’s web interface.

Measurement range — Alarm or Normal
Communications cable — RJ-45 jack to sensor using UTP Cat 5 wire.
Maximum extension cable length — 300m with approved low capacitance shielded cable or UTP.
Input voltage range — 0 to 5 volts on each of the 8 dry contacts
Settings — Normal input voltage is settable under software on each of the 8 dry contacts; Normally open, normally closed is settable under software on each of the 8 dry contacts
